Cristiano Ronaldo told how Erik ten Hag can benefit him at Manchester United
Erik ten Hag's arrival at Manchester United will hopefully make Cristiano Ronaldo feel more positive after a difficult season.
That's the belief of former United player Luke Chadwick, who thinks Ronaldo is already looking brighter on the pitch since Ten Hag was confirmed as the next permanent manager. It's been another disastrous campaign for United, which has seen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure come to an end but interim boss Ralf Rangnick not fair much better.
Despite United's struggles, Ronaldo has managed to keep to his end of the bargain since his return to Old Trafford in the summer by delivering in front of goal. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is far and away the club's top scorer this season on 24, more than double his closest competitor Bruno Fernandes.

However, Ronaldo's performances have particularly picked up in the matches since Ten Hag imminent arrival was announced on April 21, scoring in all three games since. Chadwick believes the newfound certainty could be benefitting the No.7.
“Cristiano Ronaldo worked hard, I think one moment that really summed him up was when he lost the ball after trying a little flick, but then ran back 50 yards to make the challenge. It looked like he was right on top of his game. You’d hope the new manager has spoken to him and we’ll have another season of him at Old Trafford,” Chadwick told CaughtOffside.
“I think Ronaldo’s cut a frustrated figure at times this season. Maybe he and a few others haven’t really known what direction the club and the team are going. But on Monday, he had a bit more of a spring in his step. Hopefully that’s a sign he’s positive about his future and about the new
