A5103 closed inbound to Manchester due to 'police-led incident' - latest updates

The A5103 Princess Road Northbound is closed due to what has been described as 'police led incident' at Platt Lane.

Transport for Greater Manchester says the closure is affecting the road inbound to Manchester, with traffic data provider Inrix noting that the road is closed from Platt Lane (Fallowfield) to Claremont Road (Manchester).

"The road has been closed since the early hours of Saturday morning," Inrix noted, reporting it was "due to an accident".

In a tweet sent at 3:58am on Saturday (May 7), Transport for Greater Manchester said the disruption was due to a "police-led incident" and noted that Stagecoach services will be diverted. They wrote: "A5103 Princess Road, Whalley Range. ROAD CLOSED inbound to Manchester at Platt Lane. This is due to a police-led incident Local @StagecoachGM services to divert."
