The teenage girl who died in the horror motorway crash has been named. Jessica Baker, 15, was killed after a bus carrying schoolchildren overturned on the M53 motorway in Merseyside.

The driver of the bus also died. A police statement issued by Merseyside Police tonight said: "Jessica Baker sadly died as a result of the collision on the M53 northbound carriageway earlier today. Merseyside Police had previously reported the schoolgirl was 14.

The horror crash happened on the northbound carriageway of the motorway between J5 for New Chester Road to J4 for Brimstage Road at around 8am this morning (Friday). The bus was taking pupils to West Kirby Grammar and Calday Grange Grammar School in Wirral.
