The father of Tottenham forward Son Heung-min believes his son will need to perform for a "top club" to be considered one of the best players on the planet.

The South Korea international has developed into one of the most dangerous forwards in the Premier League and topped the scoring charts last season with 23 top-flight strikes.

While there appears to be little indication that Son wants to move clubs, the player's father has hinted at a potential move further down the line.

"Instead of being happy to stay where he is, I always want him to be 10 per cent better... he must be able to play a solid role in one of the world's top clubs," said Son Woong-jung.
