Tottenham: Conte would 'happily sell' £250k-a-week duo at Hotspur Way

Tottenham Hotspur could sell or loan out as many as six first-team players before the summer transfer window ends, according to journalist Paul Brown.

Antonio Conte has made some impressive additions to his squad so far but the priority may now shift to offloading those who are surplus to requirements.

Midfielders Harry Winks and Giovanni Lo Celso are two names high on the list for a potential sale at Hotspur Way this summer with Southampton and Villarreal linked with the duo respectively.

Tanguy Ndombele was sent out on loan to Lyon during the January transfer window and his future at Tottenham appears to be non-existent under Conte. Moving Winks and Ndombele on would also save the club £250,000 per week in wages.

Reports in Italy say that Jose Mourinho is interested in a reunion with the midfielder, however, with Roma and loan with an obligation to buy has been floated.

It has also been relayed that Tottenham attempted to include out of favour centre-back Joe Rodon in a swap deal for Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo.

Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “There’s a bit of a logjam at Spurs of players who don’t really have a future there but don’t have any moves lined up either. [There are] probably five or six that I think Spurs would happily let go, including people like Winks and Ndombele.”

As Brown states, there are plenty of players in Conte’s squad who would likely benefit from a move away from north London this summer.

Winks made just 19 Premier League appearances last season with just nine starts in the top-flight and with Yves Bissouma arriving his chances will only diminish.

The same applies to Ndombele and Lo Celso who both spent spells away on loan last season with Lyon and Villarreal respectively.
