Todd Boehly to take action following Real Madrid pressure as £150m Chelsea transfer demand made

Chelsea fans are still waiting for their side to make their first signing of the summer transfer window with plenty of work to do ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Antonio Rudiger has already left to join Real Madrid while Andreas Christensen, Romelu Lukaku, Cesar Azpilicueta and Timo Werner could all join the German out the door. Todd Boehly has promised Thomas Tuchel a transfer kitty of £200 million for the summer, with an overhaul possible before the new campaign.

A number of big names have been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge this summer and there will be little rest for those in charge of the club. With that in mind, runs you through the latest rumours.

Right wing-back Reece James is one of Tuchel's most prized assets and the manager will not want to lose him any time soon. So news that both Real Madrid and Manchester City are eyeing a future transfer will have set many pulses racing in west London.

But Boehly is not about to let something like that happen on his watch. A report from The Telegraph states that the new chairman is making it his personal mission to ensure the player is tied down to a new deal this summer to halt any chance of a future move.
