KEITH JACKSON: He needs a fully functioning No 9. Cyriel Dessers doesn’t lack effort but continues to look like a competition winner. Rangers also need to add quality and experience in the centre of midfield having lost Ryan Jack and John Lundstram.

ANDY NEWPORT: The lack of quality in the final third is frankly alarming and no wonder the Rangers support are in a panic. Danilo’s return from seven months out should spare the punters having to watch Dessers stumble around for another season but Gers really need better quality down the flanks if they are to mount anything like a challenge to Celtic.

MICHAEL GANNON: Most of them. There’s still huge work required with this Gers squad. Clement could do with additions at centre back, centre mid and centre forward, as well as in the wide areas. It’s a fairly daunting task as it won’t be easy shifting guys on decent wages.

KEITH: Now that the goalkeeping situation has been sorted out Rodgers will be looking to beef up his options at left back and he should also be in the market for a new centre half. With money to spend, he may go big for an upgraded winger into the bargain.

ANDY: He needs to sort out another striker to challenge Kyogo. That may well be Adam Idah but that’s been rumbling away all summer and a deal still doesn’t appear to be any closer. Beyond that, a new centre-back, left back and attacking midfielder would come in handy.

MICHAEL: Not as much as Rangers but there’s still plenty required. Rodgers needs two new strikers and two midfielders if Matt O’Riley goes. Completion at left back and centre half would be handy too.
