The Greater Manchester pub named one of the best in the UK for families that customers say is 'amazing'

With a huge beer garden, outdoor play area, pizza trailer and 7-day-a-week carvery, this Stockport pub has become a big favourite with families. And it's now been recognised for its efforts, nominated as one of the best pubs in the UK for families at the Great British Pub awards.

The Puss in Boots in Offerton was taken over by the Almond Family pub group eight years ago, and has undergone quite the transformation. Having first opened as a pub in the 1970s it used to be known more as a "drinkers' pub" in the area.

But it has now become a community hotspot with an expanded outdoor area, a kids play area and regular quiz nights. There's a full pub grub menu as well as the popular roast carvery that opens seven days a week from 12noon.

The Puss in Boots is one of four pubs owned by the family-run Almond pubs in Greater Manchester. It's known as the biggest and busiest in the group, alongside The Spread Eagle in Romiley, Fletchers Arms in Denton and Jolly Sailor in Davenport.

They have massively extended the outdoor seating options, with more than 160 covers. It includes a special tent erected during covid that they've kept as it proved so popular.

Here you can find the "Pizza Trailer" - a converted horse box where you can order fresh pizzas from £13. It also provides seating close to the children's play area, suitable for younger kids, with slide, hopscotch and balance beams to play on.
