A Lionel Messi fan has gone viral on social media for his reaction after spotting his hero on Argentina’s team bus in England this week.

Messi and his teammates were in London for the Finalissima against Italy at Wembley, which took place on Wednesday night.

Argentina won 3-0 thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez, Angel Di Maria and Paulo Dybala. But Messi, who provided two assists, was deservedly named Man of the Match following a spellbinding performance.

The 34-year-old has experienced a difficult debut season with Paris Saint-Germain, despite winning the Ligue 1 title, after leaving Barcelona last summer.

PSG supporters have only seen Messi at his world-class best on a handful occasions so far.

But the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner proved that he’s still more than capable of producing magical displays against the best opponents following a wonderful individual performance against the Euro 2020 winners.

Tickets for the match – which saw Messi secure his 40th career trophy, making him the second-most decorated footballer of all time – were sold out.

Messi might be in his mid-30s now but he’s still the footballer that everyone wants to see play live at least once before he retires.

And one fan couldn’t contain himself after spotting Messi and his Argentina teammates on one of England’s motorways.
