The Celtic banter years are upon us as Hotline rules it's Rangers turn for era of dominance

There's a right royal stooshie brewing on the Hotline as the Premiership title race hurtles towards another key point.

Rangers fans, giddy with going top of the table for the first time this season, reckon they’re ready to reign supreme while Celtic supporters are furious at being dethroned at the weekend. Take it away Rab Picken, London, who said: “The real kings of Scotland are back where we belong. The banter years are beginning again. The only difference is, unlike Celtic, we didn’t need the help of the SFA, the league or the votes of diddy teams to put us where we are. Our support and investment did that. Now we will reign over them all with Sir Phil Clement. He has made a team that is going to get stronger. So take heed, Rangers then now and will forever dominate for years to come.”

Rab’s fellow Londoner Alfie Mullin called to make a point to Hotline regular Jim McSorley. Alfie said: “Jim is clutching at straws. He's envisaging Hearts beating Rangers this weekend and Celtic beating Motherwell, for Celtic to go back on top of the league. The way the season is panning out, given Celtic's poor form and Rangers' momentum, it's more likely Rangers finish the weekend, five points clear of Celtic.”

Meanwhile, Dr Robert Pender emailed: “Loving the fight. If Rangers win on Saturday then that will be the spring board to the silverware. Glad the manager keeps himself and players on the ground but we supporters are excited.”

However, John Scott, Grassmoor, warned: “Rangers fans seem to be lapping up the apparent demise of Rodgers’ Invincibles. However, and this is coming from a Hibs fan, take your eyes off Hearts at your peril. If they leave Ibrox with all three points they'll sit only 10 points behind their Govan
