'That shows' - Jamie Carragher adamant over Mohamed Salah legacy at Liverpool

Jamie Carragher is adamant that Mohamed Salah will rank among the 'absolute greats' at Liverpool given his achievements since arriving at Anfield.

The Egyptian was recruited from Roma in the summer of 2017 and has been an overwhelming success, scoring a remarkable 149 goals in 232 appearances.

Such has been the impact of the 29-year-old, Liverpool ended their 30-year wait for a league title and claimed a sixth European Cup in 2019.

Jurgen Klopp's side will be desperate to keep Salah at the club, with his current deal set to expire next summer, but a breakthrough in negotiations is yet to be reached.

Providing his view on the legacy Salah will leave behind whenever it is he decides to call time on his Reds career, Carragher told beINSPORTS : “He will rest alongside Dalglish, Gerrard, Rush, John Barnes, Souness – he will be up there with the absolute greats.
