Temperatures set to plummet in Greater Manchester as cold snap hits

Temperatures across Greater Manchester are set to plummet this weekend as conditions become more gloomy.

While some parts of the North have been hit with a flood warning, this will narrowly miss our region with areas such as the North East of England and Yorkshire mainly affected. Despite this, the Met Office still predicts conditions to be unsatisfactory this weekend as dark clouds gear up to dominate the sky.

Today will be the only chance to spot any sun while it makes a short appearance in the later afternoon - after that, it's unlikely you will see it at all for the rest of the week, according to early forecast predictions. Here is what the weather forecast is predicted across our region this weekend...

Temperatures on Friday will remain relatively warm throughout the day when compared to the rest of the weekend. While in the morning temperatures will be slightly more chilly, ranging from 8C and 9C, this is expected to warm up slightly by the early afternoon with a maximum temperature of 10C.

Those going on a late morning commute should pack an umbrella as heavy rain is predicted from 11am to 12pm across parts of the region. However, this will only last for a short while as conditions begin to settle by 1pm.

As we approach the evening, temperatures will begin to drop significantly, going all the way to 5C by the late evening.
