Alejandro Garnacho trolls Barcelona after Manchester United victory in Europa League

Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho uploaded a brilliant message to social media after he helped his side progress to the next round of the Europa League at the expense of Barcelona.

United were behind at the interval in Manchester after Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty following a foul by Bruno Fernandes. However, the Reds were much better after the break and drew level in the 47th minute thanks to a smart finish by Fred.

Erik ten Hag's men continued to push for another goal and, having been introduced in the 67th minute, Garnacho played a part in the winning strike. Cutting in from the left, the 18-year-old saw his shot blocked.

Fred then attempted a strike before the ball fell to Antony who curled home a delightful effort. Garnacho continued to impress as the home side looked to see out the result.

His strong runs down the left-hand side proved difficult to cope with for Barca and even led to the highly experienced Sergio Busquets being booked. Post-match, and with a place in the round of 16 secure, the teenager aimed a cheeky dig at the Catalan club's expense on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Garnacho posted a picture of his celebrations at Old Trafford alongside the caption: "The big team passes the round." The Argentinian forward has become a regular in Ten Hag's matchday squads this season, notching three goals and five assists so far.
