LIVE snow updates as AMBER weather warning issued for parts of Greater Manchester
Snow has started falling over parts of Greater Manchester this afternoon.
Light showers of the white stuff have reportedly fallen over parts of Oldham and Bury, with more snow forecast for later this evening. Temperatures have plummeted to around 3C in our region, with the mercury set to drop even lower as the day goes on.
This comes amid a number of weather warnings for snow issued by the Met Office. The warnings are in place from tomorrow until Friday afternoon.
The Met Office has also issued a new amber heavy snow warning for large parts of England from 3pm on Thursday to midday on Friday which covers parts of Greater Manchester

Parts of the south have already been affected by the snow showers following the coldest night of the year on Tuesday. The Met Office has said temperatures at Kinbrace in the Highlands dropped to minus 15.4C overnight, the lowest of the year so far.
