Teenagers accused of murder arranged to go into 'hiding' after boy, 17, was stabbed, jury hears
Teenagers accused of murder made arrangements to go into 'hiding' with the help of friends and family after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed, a jury has heard. Kyle Hackland died after being knifed four times in Withington last November in an alleged revenge attack.
Yousef Sesay, 18; a 17-year-old boy; and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are all standing trial accused of murder. They have pleaded not guilty to that charge and the lesser offence of manslaughter. A fourth defendant, Lewis Ludford, 18, denies murder, but has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, the jury has heard.
Manchester Crown Court heard the target of the attack was Mr Hackland's friend, who was walking alongside him on Southlea Road on November 22 last year. He fled the scene before Mr Hackland was fatally injured.

The jury has heard Mr Sesay was robbed the day before during a drug deal and blamed Mr Hackland's friend. The prosecution said Mr Hackland had nothing to do with the robbery, but that the men were seeking to attack his friend or 'anyone they associated with him'.
'Disturbing' CCTV footage played to the court captured one of the attackers shout 'chef him, chef him', before Mr Hackland was stabbed four times. "I've been stabbed," he told a passer-by, before collapsing on the driveway of a house.
He died about four hours later. Prosecutors allege Mr Sesay, Mr Ludford, and the 16-year-old boy attacked Mr Hackland, while the 17-year-old boy waited in a stolen VW Golf they had arrived in.
The defendants, except the 16-year-old, then made 'arrangements to be taken into hiding', prosecutor Mark Rhind KC said. He said a 'flurry of calls for help' were made, and
