'Talking nonsense' - Gareth Southgate slammed over bizarre Leicester City decisions

Leicester City fans have criticised England manager Gareth Southgate for not calling up any of their side's players.

City men Luke Thomas, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes have all been tipped to receive a call-up. None of them are currently involved, though, which has puzzled some supporters.

Southgate explained his decisions, saying attacking players have a more difficult task in breaking into the team. That means Barnes and Maddison in particular have a more difficult task.

: Southgate an FA yes man!!!! Dull like his teams. Prefer LCFC players fit for Leicester and not injured playing for England. Never thought I would say it but club over country all day long

: The guys have adapted all season with a long list of our injuries. What else do they have to do? Maddison, Barnes, JJ & Thomas deserve a place with KDH very close as well.

: Maddison has hands down been in better form than Grealish this season so Southgate is just talking nonsense.

: Maddison Barnes Justin and Thomas all being linked with an England squad. Fantastic news especially as most are committed to City for a few years longer. The whole team now needs to perform to bring the best out of those named.

: this is just laughable when he selected players from Southampton and palace and villa.

: We are above palace and Southampton and level on points with villa with 2 games in hand over all three
