Sweden boss gives injury update on Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof
Victor Lindelof will be assessed by the Swedish medical staff after seemingly suffering an injury during Saturday's 2-1 win against Brentford.
The defender was taken off in the 71st minute at Old Trafford and replaced by Anthony Martial. Having been playing at left-back, he exited the pitch on the far side before walking straight down the tunnel.
Manchester United were 1-0 down at the time but went on to win, with Scott McTominay scoring twice in added time. Lindelof has joined up with his national team this week but it's unclear whether he will be able to play in either of their games over the international break.

Head coach Janne Andersson confirmed this week that the 29-year-old will undergo assessments, with results from that expected shortly.
“I have had contact with Lindelof," Andersson told Aftonbladet. "Hopefully, there won’t be any major problems, but I don’t dare say that for sure. I do not have the medical team’s assessment, tonight I will find out exactly how it is.”
Sweden have a friendly with Moldova on Thursday evening, before travelling to Belgium for their Euro 2024 qualifier next week. Lindelof is captain of the national team and was expected to start both matches.
United have endured a string of injury issues in defence, with Erik ten Hag forced to start Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans in central defence on Saturday while Lindelof was at left-back. The Dutchman was without Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Sergio Reguilon for the win over Brentford.
