Swansea City 1-1 Millwall: Hosts held but keep unbeaten record intact in frustrating stalemate
Swansea City extended their impressive unbeaten home record to 11 games with a hard-fought draw with Millwall.
Zan Vipotnik's sixth goal of the season put the hosts in front with a tidy backheeled finish, before Josh Coburn's looping header restored parity on the stroke of half time.
Despite opportunities at both ends, that was how it stayed, although Swansea were adamant they should have had a penalty late on after Vipotnik was left convinced he was pulled back by a Millwall defender.
It was a frustrating afternoon on the whole for the Swans, although the big positive is they still remain unbeaten at home this term. Indeed, they haven't lost a home game here since March.
Alan Sheehan made just one change from the side that lost to Birmingham City last weekend, with Malick Yalcouye replacing Goncalo Franco in midfield.
They started this contest on the front foot too, with Vipotnik's early stinging effort cannoning wide off Tristan Crama inside just two minutes.
It proved an early warning from the Slovenian, who was denied a goal due to a dubious offside call in the defeat last weekend.
There was no denying him here, however. A brilliant run from Zeidane Inoussa, allowed the Swede to pull back across goal, with Ronald helping on for Vipotnik to flick past former Swan Steven Benda in the Millwall goal.
Millwall nearly mustered an instant response, however, as Will Smallbone fired wide. But Swansea largely remained on top.
Ethan Galbraith bent a shot wide from distance, before Inoussa fizzed a low effort just wide of the post.
Marko Stamenic then touched a corner wide, before Smallbone and Thierno Ballo mustered tame efforts at the other end.
Vipotnik might well have doubled his tally had he managed to control Stamenic's dink
