Swansea City 1-3 Leicester City: Foxes bring hosts' unbeaten home record to abrupt end

Swansea City fell to their first home defeat since March after going down at the hands of Leicester City at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Wales international Jordan James got the visitors up and running with a superb first-half strike, before being hitting the post just after half-time.

Adam Idah restored parity with his first Swans goal from the spot, but the Foxes weren't to be denied as Abdul Fatawu's crashing effort and Jannick Vestergaard's late header wrapped up the points.

A first home defeat, albeit against a side many expect to be challenging near the top of the table, might well be difficult to stomach for Alan Sheehan, whose side were ultimately outclassed on the day.

Swansea slip to 11th after this defeat, which comes ahead of the season's second international break.

Sheehan made three changes from the win over Blackburn Rovers in midweek, including a start for Wales international Liam Cullen.

But Cullen was largely upstaged by another Welshman in James, who lashed an early shot over the bar in what felt an early warning.

Eom Jisung then cut inside to curl an effort into the arms of the keeper as Swansea looked to come out the blocks, while Ronald hit a tame low shot on 10 minutes.

However, Swansea's plans were undone a few minutes later.

Swansea failed to clear their lines from a corner, and Harry Winks knocked the ball on for James, who cut inside near the edge of the area before arrowing a superb strike into the top corner.

Sheehan had previously backed Leicester to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, and the Foxes were pretty successful in keeping his side at arm's length for much of the first half.

Cullen's deflected low effort was comfortably saved, while Jeremy Monga and Wout Faes both spurned
