Suspicious package at Post Office sees Llanharan shops cordoned off
Emergency services were called to a Post Office in Bryncae after reports of a suspicious package.
Bridgend Road in Llanharan was closed due to the incident and surrounding shops were put under a police cordon.
The package was declared harmless and safe and the road has now reopened.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Emergency services were called to Bridgend Road, Llanharan following a report of a suspicious package at approximately 11am.
"As a precautionary measure, the road was closed in both directions.
"At 3pm the item was confirmed harmless and safe and the road was reopened.
"The community are thanked for their cooperation during this time."
