Support Manchester United and keep fellow fans safe by becoming Old Trafford first-aid volunteer
Do you support Manchester United? Do you want to help keep your fellow fans safe while attending matches for free?
If you answered yes, then national first aid and healthcare charity St John Ambulance has got an opportunity for you. The charity is asking fans to step forward to learn a range of essential lifesaving skills and put them to good use as a volunteer at United matches.
New recruits will specialise in stadium first aid and have the chance to attend United matches without having to spend a penny. The charity is hoping for as many supporters from Greater Manchester as possible to volunteer during matches at Old Trafford and work alongside experienced volunteers and healthcare professionals.

St John Ambulance will provide successful applicants with free training, uniform, travel expenses and there will be no admission to games when undertaking first aid duties. There may also be opportunities to attend some away matches.
To join the team it's required to complete four days of mandatory training as well as passing an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check before being accepted into the group. Then, of course, you will be asked to attend as many matches as possible to lend a hand in keeping everyone safe and well.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, then an initial recruitment day is being held on Saturday, November 4. The exact time and venue will be confirmed on receipt of the expression of interest but is likely to be in central Manchester starting at 9am. The following training days will be held on Saturday 18, Sunday 19, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November.
