Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Leach admits being 'scared of hurting' Vito as fans are distracted by outfit

Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach has revealed her nerves around last Saturday's performance, saying she was 'really scared' of performing a certain move during the routine. The Coronation Street actress appeared on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Wednesday with her professional dancing partner Vito Coppola.

After wowing judges on the BBC One show with their Argentine Tango last week, Ellie admitted she was worried about hurting her dancing partner in what was to become one of the most memorable parts of Saturday's performance. Showing a picture of Ellie being lifted by Vito, It Take Two presenter Janette Manrara said to Vito: "There was a specific move I want to talk about. Wow, firstly, does that not hurt Vito, having Ellie step on your thighs with stilettos on? She is literally digging into your calf."

Vito joked: "My calf was screaming. There are a few bruises." And Ellie responded: "I was actually really scared to do that and throughout the week, we would get to that bit and I would be like, I don't want to do it. I would kind of like freeze. Because I felt like I was hurting him."

Meanwhile, fans became distracted by Vito's choice of outfit during the It Takes Two interview. Commenting on his tux, presenter Janette said: "Thank you for dressing up. I like it." Ellie agreed he looked 'really smart.'
