Alejandro Garnacho celebrates Manchester United goal vs Galatasaray with another Cristiano Ronaldo tribute

Alejandro Garnacho imitated Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic 'calma' celebration after opening the scoring for Manchester United at Galatasaray on Wednesday evening.

Garnacho scored for the second game running on a fierce night in Istanbul to put United 1-0 up inside 11 minutes. The 19-year-old fired a left-footed effort past goalkeeper Fernando Muslera after some brilliant build-up play from Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes.

Rams Park had been a bear-pit during the opening exchanges and any United possession was booed and whistled, but Garnacho's effort shocked them into silence. And the Argentinian taunted the home support by cupping his ear and then recreating Ronaldo's celebration.

Those taunts were not well received at all by the home fans, with missiles bearing down on the players as they surrounded Garnacho. It also irked the Galatasaray players, with Muslera among several to confront the winger in the aftermath.

It was the second time in four days that Garnacho imitated his icon, having done similar against Everton on Sunday. The teenager scored what will likely be the best goal of his career at Goodison Park, unleashing a fierce overhead kick into Jordan Pickford's top corner.

After that opener, Garnacho did the 'Siuuu' celebration before being mobbed by his disbelieving teammates. His effort in Istanbul may not have been as explosive but it was certainly as important.
