Storm Amy shuts M4 in Wales causing long delays - live updates
There is congestion on the M4 in south Wales after a section of the motorway was closed due to strong winds.
The road is closed in both directions between junctions 37 and 38. Traffic is building in the area, with traffic being diverted off the motorway.
Storm Amy continues to hit parts of Wales with a weather warning for wind remaining in place until midnight on Saturday. The weather has improved since Friday but strong winds are expected to continue throughout the day.
According to traffic monitoring service Inrix: “M4 Kenfig Viaduct in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to strong winds from J38 A48 (Margam, Neath Port Talbot) to J37 A4229 (Pyle / Porthcawl, North Cornelly).”
