Steve Morison makes Cardiff City transfer admission
Cardiff City manager Steve Morison admits he would want to bring Leeds United full-back and current loanee Cody Drameh back to the Welsh capital if he was still available on loan next season, speaking to Wales Online following their 4-0 victory against Peterborough United last night.
The 20-year-old was someone Marcelo Bielsa wanted to keep hold of at Elland Road – but the former was desperate to make a temporary move away and officials in West Yorkshire granted that wish with the Bluebirds winning the race for his signature last month.
He has been an important part of Morison’s plans since then, already making five appearances and establishing himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet with Perry Ng moving to a more central position.
This has allowed Drameh to thrive at right wing-back, recording his first goal contribution for the club yesterday evening as he provided the assist for Jordan Hugill’s goal to make the three points all but safe against Darren Ferguson’s men.
Already impressing many during his time at the Cardiff City Stadium, it’s currently unclear as to whether he’ll end up being too good to compete in the second tier next season, perhaps even doing enough to be a regular part of Bielsa’s squad.
Morison is one of those who has been pleased with the young full-back’s progress – and spoke candidly about the latter’s future at the Cardiff City Stadium after becoming an integral member of their plans.
