Simon Jordan in Aaron Ramsey to Rangers transfer confession as £40m golden ticket trumps 'economics'

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes Rangers' tilt to land Aaron Ramsey on loan is being pushed by their desire to secure Champions League football.

The Ibrox side are in a genuine title fight with rivals Celtic with only two points separating the pair ahead of their blockbuster clash on Wednesday night.

The winners of the Premiership are set to go straight into the group stage of the world's richest club competition next season.

Ramsey is free to leave Juventus and it looks increasingly likely his next destination will be Ibrox.

And Jordan believes Rangers are willing to push ahead with the ambitious coup due to their increased challenge to come out on top this season.
