Sifu: What is the completion time?

Sifu has been released worldwide for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Windows but what is the completion time for the game?

The kung-fu beat-em-up has won praise from across the world of gaming, and currently stands at a score of 81 on Metacritic on PS5.

That’s a solid score, with developer ‘Sloclap’ crafting a love letter to kung fu movies of old, and building a game that has some genuinely innovative systems, such as ageing the player every single time you die.

But how long does Sifu take to complete?

The main storyline of Sifu follows a young kung-fu student as he seeks revenge on the assassins who murdered his father.

That is a tale as old as time when it comes to movies of the genre, but there are just five levels in the game.

However, Sloclap have built the game so that you have to master the game in order to be able to complete it properly, in much the same vein as Mr Miyagi’s teachings in the Karate Kid.

The so-called ‘true ending’ of the game can only be achieved if you manage to reach the magic 100% completion number.

Basically, you have to be perfect throughout the game in order to finish it properly.

Roughly 10 hours.

You’ll go into the five distinct areas and will be fighting five separate bosses.

They are Fajar (The Botanist), Sean (The Fighter), Kuroki (The Artist), Jinfeng (The CEO) and Yang (The Leader).

The death mechanic, in which you age every time you die, can add length to the time, and you’re likely to find the game difficult when you first dive in.

Playing the game on rails, and not attempting to find any collectables or anything of the sort, will take you around 10 hours.

That’s an average of two hours per mission, per Gamespot.
