'Shut them up' - Pundits reveal Leicester City plan to defeat Jose Mourinho and Roma in Italy

Leicester City could be forgiven for having one eye on next week's trip to Rome when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League in London on Sunday.

While Spurs are chasing a Champions League spot, Leicester's hopes of securing European football next season lie in the Europa Conference League. Their semi-final tie with Italian outfit Roma is finely poised at 1-1 after the first leg at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.

Next Thursday (May 5), they visit Jose Mourinho's side at the Stadio Olimpico in the second leg for the chance to meet either Marseille or Feyenoord in the final in Albania on May 25. The winners of the competition will qualify for the Europa League.

Former City midfielder Robbie Savage believes his old team can triumph in Italy. He would like to see Harvey Barnes start, after the winger came off the bench to set up the first-leg equaliser.

"We all watched the PSV away game," Savage told BT Sport. "They went there and in the second half, they were terrific - energy, desire. And I think if they can perform like they did in Holland against Roma in Rome, I think Leicester will go through. I think it will suit them on the counter attack.

"I'd start Barnes, personally, ahead of (Marc) Albrighton, with that energy up and down the left, with (Jamie) Vardy (up front) again and (Ademola) Lookman on the right. But the way Brendan Rodgers has used his subs in Europe has been brilliant."

Looking ahead to the game, Savage said: "Sixty thousand fans, it's going to be great. I can't wait to go there, and Leicester have a chance. As Brendan says, after they beat PSV, they went on to win the Dutch cup against Ajax on that weekend. So they can do it.
