Should Cyriel Dessers have a Rangers role next season and will Jeffrey Schlupp stick around at Celtic? Monday Jury
KEITH JACKSON: Absolutely. Schlupp has been a very good addition to the squad and will be thriving on this late chance to add some silverware to his collection. He’s versatile too so Brendan Rodgers will want to keep him around even if Tierney is first choice left back.
ANDY NEWPORT: Schlupp has been a fine addition at Parkhead this season but I’m not sure he’ll fancy acting as understudy to Tierney, even if the returning Hoops hero’s injury record means he’ll likely get plenty of minutes.
MICHAEL GANNON: It’s unlikely at this stage. Schlupp will have a lot of options and it might be a stretch for Celtic paying top money in wages for two left backs.
ALAN GALINDO: It is a no-brainer for him to stay if Brendan Rodgers wants to keep him around. He’s 32 now and would be regularly fighting for trophies and playing Champions League football.
KEITH: His conversion rate is a great deal lower than it ought to be but, even so, Dessers has become a major contributor to this Rangers team. It might take funny money to tempt the club into selling and that seems unlikely.
ANDY: Dessers has shown he can score in fits and spurts. As long as they have someone ready to step in when he hits one of his lulls he can still make a big contribution.
MICHAEL: Yes. Rangers need to take the rough with the smooth when it comes to the big man. He’s got goals in him and strikers - even ones who miss a lot - are hard to come by.
ALAN: His goalscoring record isn’t all that bad - although it should be much higher. But what he does is gets in the positions and keeps trying. The big question remains if he is the man that can lead the line to win trophies. But I think he can play a part next year.
KEITH: Hibs. The momentum has been behind them
