Southern Counties East League Premier Division weekend round-up including wins for champions Whitstable Town, Larkfield & New Hythe, Rusthall, Hollands & Blair, Punjab United, Faversham Strike Force and Sutton Athletic

Resilient Rusthall claimed a 2-1 victory at Chislehurst Glebe on Saturday, strengthening their chances of finishing in a Southern Counties East League Premier Division play-off position.

Nathan Mampono gave the home team the lead in the 14th minute but Charlie Clover equalised just eight minutes later.

The Rustics - SCEFL Challenge Cup winners just eight days earlier - got the game’s all-important third goal through Yassin Fares in the 46th minute.

Sixth-placed Hollands & Blair - two points behind Rusthall in fifth - saw off Kennington 3-0 at home.

Luke Exall put Blair into a third-minute advantage and Mo Cham doubled Blair’s tally in first-half injury time.

After the restart, substitute Emmanuel Oluwasemo bagged a third for the hosts to seal the points.

Champions Whitstable saw off hosts Holmesdale 4-0 through a Bradley Schafer, Malachai Belboda and Tyler Hatton, with Jack Peters also on the scoresheet in the second period for Jamie Coyle’s side.

Punjab United, in seventh, are three points behind fifth-placed Rusthall, having seen off mid-table Erith & Belvedere 3-0 at home.

Chipie Sian’s side, who reached the FA Vase semi-finals, netted all the damage in the second half.
