Seven day weather forecast for Greater Manchester with heavy showers predicted

Greater Manchester could face heavy showers in the first week of August according to the latest forecast by the Met Office.

Forecasters predict the region could see bouts of rain almost every day in the seven days starting from Sunday (July 30) - however temperatures are still due to be warm.

The news comes as heavy rain battered parts of Greater Manchester on Sunday (July 30) in scattered showers through the morning and the afternoon, with more expected in the evening.

The Met Office says that on Monday (July 31), Manchester will see temperatures peaking at around 18C. Conditions are due to be overcast throughout the day with light rain expected in the late morning and into the evening.

Conditions will be much the same on Tuesday (August 1), with highs of around 19C. There will be light showers in the morning before remaining cloudy for the rest of the day.

On Wednesday (August 2), the Met Office predicts heavy showers with sunny spells in between throughout the morning and the afternoon and temperatures of around 19C.

There will be sunny intervals on Thursday morning (August 3) too, with light showers expected from around lunchtime and into the afternoon. The evening will be overcast and dry. Temperatures will be around 19C.

On Friday (August 4), there will still be warm temperatures with highs of 18C, with sunny intervals in the morning, leading on to showers from lunchtime onwards and into the evening.

Next weekend, on Saturday (August 5) there will be overcast and cloudy conditions throughout the morning but it will remain dry. Light rain showers are predicted from around 1pm for a number of hours before staying dry again in the
