Seth Rollins: 10 things you didn't know about the top WWE star

Seth Rollins might be the current best in-ring performer on the WWE roster, and has remained fresh and relevant as a main eventer since his main roster debut in 2012.

In his 10 years on the main roster, Rollins has won every single title on offer, as well as the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank, even headlining WrestleMania.

Despite all of this, there are probably some things about “The Visionary” that fans are unaware of, so GiveMeSport takes you through ten things you didn’t know about Seth Rollins.

While he began training to become a pro wrestler at the age of 17, the real-life Colby Lopez began competing in backyard shows at the age of just 14 in Iowa. It was here that he began to develop his high-flying style.

Most people will know that Rollins wrestled as Tyler Black on the independent scene but it was not his first ring name.

He initially went by the name Gixx, which was the name of a character in the trading card game, Magic the Gathering, which his brother played.

As Tyler Black and just 20 years old, he appeared on an October 2006 episode of Impact in a tag match with his partner Jeff Luxon in a losing effort against The Latin American Xchange.

The upper brass of TNA did not see much in Black and he instead wrestled for Ring of Honor.

Rollins had enormous success as Tyler Black in Ring of Honor, winning the World Title in January 2010. His WWE title win at WrestleMania 31 meant he followed CM Punk and Daniel Bryan in winning both belts.

They have recently been joined by Chris Jericho, who took the opposite route to Rollins, Punk and Bryan.
