Scotland fans suffer Euro 2024 ticket farce as SFA send out codes to the wrong people and Germany sale is delayed

Scotland fans have been hit with a Euro 2024 ticket gaffe by the SFA who made an error in sending out codes for briefs to Germany.

It comes as the Tartan Army simply cannot contain themselves over facing the hosts in next year's finals, kicking the show off in Munich before taking on Hungary and Switzerland. And while briefs for the finals are already reaching in to the hundreds of pounds for fans, Scotland Supporters Club members will have to play the waiting game after codes for tickets were sent out to the wrong people, with fans now being told they're not eligible to buy at a sale that was set for noon on Wednesday. The SFA came out with an apology after fans on 11 points were sent the codes despite the sale being for those on 12 or more.

They've called in UEFA to help resolve the matter but can't put a timestamp on when the ticket sale window will be open again. It pushes back fans' plans even further with prices for hotels and flights sky-rocketing after the draw was confirmed. Now the most loyal of Tartan Army fanatics will wait with baited breath over when they can be eligible to get those priceless tickets.

A statement read: "Due to a technical error, UEFA EURO 2024 codes have been sent out to Scotland Supporters Club members who are not eligible to buy tickets at this stage. As a result of this error, the sale scheduled for 12 noon will be delayed until further notice while we liaise with UEFA to resolve the issue. The Scottish FA would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to supporters at this time. We will communicate further information on the sales schedule as soon it is available."
