How far can Scotland actually go at Euro 2024? Winners in Germany predicted on the Monday Jury

KEITH JACKSON: Hungary will be more dangerous than many may expect but, even so, the draw has been reasonably kind to Scotland. It’s now up to Steve Clarke and his players to make the most of it - and they will. The knock-out stages are a realistic prospect.

ANDY NEWPORT: We’ve got a great chance. Germany will be fired up as hosts in the opening game but they’ve not been in top form for a few years now. Hungary and the Swiss are definitely beatable if we can hit the heights of the qualifying campaign. One win might be all that’s needed to get out of the group and we should be confident of getting it.

SCOTT MCDERMOTT: I know Germany hasn’t been a powerhouse in recent years but as hosts they will be a dangerous proposition. Our best chance is to take four points from the Hungary and Switzerland games. If we can do that we will progress.

KEITH: Gordon goes as back-up to Angus Gunn. And Robby McCrorie has a genuine shot at taking the third spot if he gets a loan move next month and some serious game time for the rest of the season.

ANDY: Angus Gunn is nailed on as No1 and Zander Clark has performed reasonably as back-up so those two will be on the plane. And if Gordon can get himself fit I’d be tempted to take him too to make use of his years of experience.

SCOTT: Angus Gunn is a given. If Craig Gordon can regain his place at Hearts then I would take him and Robby McCrorie if he gets game time. If not it would have to be Zander Clark and Liam Kelly.

KEITH: The French will take some stopping and will go into the tournament as heavy favourites. But - and whisper it - England have the talent required to win this thing. If only they had the manager.
