Scotland fans find out Euro 2024 channel line-up as STV land marquee Germany match-up
Jubilant STV will be the broadcasters for Scotland's Euro 2024 opener against hosts Germany as the marquee match-up gets top billing.
The corker on June 14 will be shown on free to air TV with the clashes with Switzerland and Hungary, taking place on June 19 and 23, will be shown on BBC. STV only have one Scotland game but they are delighted to earn the marquee match-up after showing both the England and Croatia clashes at Euro 2020.
And now punters know the opponents, locations and TV channels for those who remain on these shores with 100,000 Scotland fans expected to head to Germany for the first away major tournament in 26 years to back Steve Clarke's heroes. Bobby Hain, managing director of broadcast at STV, said: “As if the excitement of Scotland qualifying for another European Championship isn’t enough, it’s fantastic to know that Scotland fans will be able to enjoy every nail-biting minute of their opening match exclusively on STV and STV Player.
"Having the opportunity to show Scottish sport free-to-air on our channel is hugely important to us, and we know the country will be united in front of their TVs to watch the national team’s Euro 2024 journey, as well as every other thrilling moment of the tournament, next summer.”
