Saudi clubs 'desperate' to sign Man City's England star as Pep Guardiola transfer stance emerges

Kyle Walker reportedly remains a possible transfer target for the Saudi Pro League (SPL).

The Manchester City right-back is currently competing at Euro 2024 with England and will have the chance to claim silverware on Sunday evening should the Three Lions get the better of Spain in Berlin.

Walker is understood to have caught the eye of Saudi sides prior to the current tournament in Germany and there is 'doubt' over whether the 34-year-old is keen to remain on City's books ahead of the new campaign.

A new report by GMS has stated the England international is 'firmly on the radar' of SPL clubs, who are 'desperate' to persuade Walker to take on a new challenge away from Etihad Stadium.

The above article adds that Pep Guardiola and members of City's hierarchy are aware that they are in danger of seeing the value of the six-time Premier League winner 'significantly decrease', having entered the final two years of his contract at the club.

Addressing his future with City at the end of last season, the former Tottenham Hotspur defender said: "I'll go as long as I can go. This is a job that I love, I never wake up and think I don't want to go in. I love playing football, it makes me happy. It's my happy place.

"I've got two years and I still think I can give more to the team. I might not play as much as I really want to but as long as I put in the performances that I feel I've done this season and the work ethic in training that's down to who the manager wants to play in that position. I feel great so I'll go for as long as possible.
