Man City vs Celtic live early team news plus how to watch as USA pre-season tour kicks off

Manchester City are set to begin their pre-season tour of the United States as they face Celtic in North Carolina.

The game at the Kenan Memorial Stadium will kick off at 12:30am (BST) and we'll bring you all the updates you need as the preparations for City's quest to retain their Premier League title ramp up.

Pep Guardiola has named a relatively callow squad for the trip to the United States. The shock name listed on the tour squad that was announced last week was 20-year-old Amar Fatah. The young trialist is unlikely to sign permanently with the Blues but it is hoped the tour can be a useful experience for him under Guardiola.

While plenty of academy stars have been named in the 27-man squad there are also a handful of household names. Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland are two of the few first-team stars available for the trip, together with Ederson, Stefan Ortega, Kalvin Phillips and Oscar Bobb.

It will be interesting to see how the goalkeepers are used tonight. Despite having barely any outfield players to choose from that have senior experience, Guardiola has both of his goalkeepers.

The club have gone out of their way to point out that Ederson is No.1 despite Stefan Ortega impressing last season and eventually signing a new deal, but Ederson has still not ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia after both Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad came in for him.

Does Guardiola stick faith with his No.1 from the start, or does he reward Ortega for his loyalty to leave Ederson with some thinking to do about making up his mind before the season starts. It's certainly going to be one to watch.

So you might be wondering how you can catch all
