Ryan Hall and Shaun Kenny-Dowall get through All-Stars game unscathed as Hull KR duo produce steady outings

It wasn't a classic, but Ryan Hall got the better of teammate Shaun Kenny-Dowall as England defeated the Combined Nations All-Stars 18-4 on Saturday night.

Tries from Jake Wardle, George Williams and John Bateman were enough for Shaun Wane's side, as Salford Red Devils winger Ken Sio scored the only try for the All-Stars in an uneventful game.

The main thing is though, Hull KR got through the game unscathed, and even though Hall and Kenny-Dowall didn't set the world alight, they will both return to Sewell Group Craven Park fit and ready to go ahead of the visit of Huddersfield Giants next weekend.

We take a look at the two Hull KR players involved and how they fared in today's clash.

Hall was quiet in the first half but improved after the break. As always, he carried and defended well, including bundling Rhys Martin into touch with edge partner Jake Wardle. Hall didn't see much of the ball throughout the contest, but he will be delighted to be back in the England fold as he eyes up a World Cup spot at the end of the year.

The All-Stars skipper tried his hardest all night but struggled to create any momentum down the left flank. He made a few clean breaks that caused England issues all night, but the end result came to no avail. He and partner Ken Sio were better once Kruise Leeming entered the fray, but Kenny-Dowall couldn't lead his side to a victory but should be proud of his leadership role.
