Hull KR's injury crisis deepens with Lachlan Coote ruled out of Toulouse Olympique clash

Lachlan Coote will miss Hull KR's trip to Toulouse Olympique with a foot injury. Rovers have been dealt yet another huge injury blow on the eve of the trip, with their star fullback not making the trip to France for the clash against Super League's basement side.

It adds to an already extensive injury list. Rovers were already without four of their most influential players in Ryan Hall, George King, Kane Linnett and Jordan Abdull. Now, they hvae lost their star Australian.

The severity of the injury remains unclear but it has been enough to keep him out of the match. Coote was named in a 20-man squad on Thursday, with Rovers unable to fill all of their spots in the squad due to injury.

It comes at the worst time possible for Tony Smith, with Rovers facing four pivotal matches in their quest to secured another top six finish. They face Toulouse, an out of form Hull FC, lowly Wakefield Trinity and Warrington Wolves in their next batch of games. They are set to play a pivotal role in their quest for the play-offs, with KR currently two points adrift.

The squad travelled out to France on Friday morning ahead of their game with Sylvain Houles' side, who themselves are in desperate need of a win as they look to secure Super League status. They are currently six points adrift with just eleven games remaining.
