Ruth Langsford breaks down in tears as she admits to having her 'heart ripped out' over family decision

Ruth Langsford has broken down in tears as she discussed a family decision that she described as having her 'heart ripped out'. The Loose Women star has recalled some of the most challenging times she's experienced in her life in a new interview.

In a live video chat, Ruth burst into tears as she explained about 21-year-old Jack leaving for university and how she initially felt about having an 'empty nest' for the first time since he was born.

She continued: "I remember coming into his bedroom and crying and getting hold of the pillow, and I could smell him on the pillow, and had a good old cry, and then shutting the door and then that first week was horrendous because I was just so used to having him around."

Jack, who studied broadcast journalism at Salford University, turned 21 earlier this year and was spoiled by his parents on his special day. In images posted onto social media, he could be seen posing in front of his many birthday balloons with doting
