Markus Poom returns for another season with Shamrock Rovers

Estonia international Markus Poom has committed to another season with Shamrock Rovers.

The 24-year-old midfielder had a strong campaign with the Hoops in 2023 after arriving on loan from Flora Tallinn, helping Stephen Bradley's side to a fourth SSE Airtricity Premier Division title in a row.

He returned to Estonia in the off season but is back on board for 2024 having agreed a fresh loan deal.

Poom is now targeting more silverware in Tallaght, adding: "I really enjoyed my time here last season. Everyone at the club and all the fans made me feel so welcome and I can’t wait to get going again as we look to build on the success of last season."
