Man pleads not guilty to murder of Charlene Mills as trial date set

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Charlene Mills in Gorton. Peter Pitt, who is accused of the murder of Charlene Mills, will stand trial next year.

Charlene, 43, tragically died on Hyde Road in Gorton on September 30 this year. Police were earlier called to reports of ‘concern for her welfare'.

Mr Pitt, of Hyde Road, Manchester, is charged with a single offence of murder in relation to her death.

The 52-year-old appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court today, December 19, where he entered a not guilty plea to the offence.

A trial date has been set for March 11 next year.
