Ruben Amorim has been hailed by Primeira Liga peer Tiago Margarido amid mounting speculation he's set to join Manchester United.
Following Erik ten Hag's sudden exit from Old Trafford, United face a significant challenge in signing his replacement. However, Sporting CP's Amorim has emerged as the frontrunner for the position amid reports suggesting he's Sir Jim Ratcliffe's top choice.
After Sporting's recent 3-1 triumph over Margarido's Nacional, his opposite number lauded Amorim's quality. Margarido, 35, expressed confidence in his rival's ability to succeed in the Premier League thanks to his stellar attitude and superior communication skills.

Amorim, 39, has enjoyed a rapid rise since beginning his coaching journey with Casa Pia and once worked under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho during his time in charge of United. He led Braga to Portuguese Cup glory before moving to the capital and propelling Sporting to their first league title in nearly two decades.
