Ross McCausland has Rangers 'tunnel vision' as he reveals sleepless nights over Livingston no goal

Ross McCausland admits he's still losing sleep over being denied his first Rangers goal.

The Ibrox academy graduate was rewarded for his recent form with a new four-year deal, after breaking into Philippe Clement's first team and impressing over the last few weeks. He was also handed his full senior debut for Northern Ireland in what has been a whirlwind couple of months for the 20-year-old from County Antrim.

He thought he'd opened his account in Light Blue on his first start in a 2-0 win over Livingston earlier this month. McCausland cooly found the top corner from ten yards at the Tony MacaroniArena, but his celebrations were cut short after Steven MacLean ruled it out for a push in the build up by Abdallah Sima. Strikes from Cyriel Dessers and James Tavernier meant it didn't prove costly, but McCausland is now keen to find the net for the first time proper.

"I'm still losing sleep over that Livi goal!" he said. "I'm looking forward to my first Rangers goal. The gaffer has been really good with me since day one and has given lots of good feedback. I knew I had to show him why I should be in the team when he arrived. Every day my confidence is getting higher and playing with top players every day. My family have all been on this journey and are all so happy for me. I have had tunnel vision towards Rangers and I plan to be here for a long time."
