Roman Reigns vs The Rock: WWE Hall of Famer books the feud

For both exploits inside and outside of the ring, there aren’t many bigger names in the history of the WWE than The Rock.

He is in the pantheon of all-time greats alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

We often see previous icons make surprise returns, whether it be popping up at the Royal Rumble or as a headliner for WrestleMania.

It has been discussed for a while that The Rock, otherwise known as Dwayne Johnson, following his very successful venture into the acting world, could come back for a one-off bout with real-life cousin and current top dog Roman Reigns.

From Jumanji to the Fast and Furious franchise, Johnson is very busy and very popular in Hollywood, making this all the more difficult to nail down.

A lot of people have weighed in on how this feat can be achieved. Lately, it was WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray who discussed it on Busted Open Radio.

Here is what he had to say.

“Rock comes back, wins the Rumble, gets his shot at ‘Mania. It’s pretty simple. Keep it simple, stupid. Slow and steady wins the race. Win the Rumble, build, build, build to ‘Mania. Yeah, I don’t see any other way.

“And I would love to see the Rumble this year come down to some real heavy-hitters – maybe the last four in the ring [could be] The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton – some real strong talent where it’s like, ‘Wow, anybody could win this one.’ Any one of these last three or four men could main event WrestleMania against Roman Reigns.”

He then went on to talk about how balancing The Rock’s calendar will prove to be the biggest stumbling block.

The California-born star has two films set to be released later this year in which he plays a part, albeit primarily in post-production on both.
