Love Island 2022: Who is Michael Owen’s ‘dressage star’ daughter Gemma Owen?

Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma, has been confirmed as a contestant for the new series of the reality TV show Love Island. 

Here’s everything you need to know about the international dressage star:

Owen has competed for Great Britain in dressage for more than eight years and recently competed at the 2021 European Championships.

Her father, Michael, is a former professional footballer, who played as a striker for Liverpool, Newcastle, Real Madrid, Man United and England. 

The teenager has also launched her own swimwear line called OG Beachwear. Michael has encouraged his fans to follow the brand online, writing: “Pretty d***n proud of my daughter launching her new @ogbeachwear brand.” 

Gemma also boasts more than 9000 Instagram fans on her dedicated dressage account, where she regularly shares photos of her competing in competitions. 

Meanwhile, her personal Instagram has almost 50,000 followers as it stands, thought this will no doubt increase now that she has been confirmed for the show.
