Roman Reigns: Shock WWE star says he could dethrone 'The Tribal Chief'

With the news of Randy Orton being ruled out as Roman Reigns next challenger, a surprising star has thrown his name into the ring, SmackDown’s Madcap Moss.

Moss recently returned to WWE TV to finally settle his score with former partner and friend Happy Corbin, and with the chapter finally closed on that programme, Madcap has his sights set on the very top of WWE’s tree.

Speaking on KFAN 100.3’s Power Trip Morning Show After Party Podcast, the 32-year-old was asked which stars he’s looking to mixing it up with next, and he believes he has a good chance of any to be the one to finally dethrone Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. 

You know, this one at this point may seem like a bit of a stretch to some people. Because the guys aren’t just an absolute all-time run right now. I’d love to get a shot at Roman Reigns. I mean, he is the pinnacle of the business right now. He likes to say he’s in God mode, and it’s hard to disagree with him. God meaning ‘Greatness On a Different level. I mean, it’s just unbelievable what he’s done over the past 8-10 years, but specifically in the last few. He’s really just been untouchable in every aspect of the business. But I think that someone needs to eventually dethrone the guy I look at myself and I say, ‘Why not Madcap?’ So, I got my work cut out for me. I got a ways to go before I get there

Having ditched the braces and comedy aspect to his character, Moss’ new look and focus is on the whole SmackDown locker-room and cites Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre as two potential opponents he’d like to work with.
