Ree Drummond's family is growing!

The Food Network star announced on Wednesday, March 4 that her daughter Alex Drummond Scott is expecting her second child with husband Mauricio Scott.

The couple are already parents to daughter Sofia, who was born December 2024. In addition to the soon-to-be mother-of-two, 27, the Pioneer Woman host and her husband Ladd Drummond are also parents to daughter Paige, 25, sons Bryce, 21, and Todd, 20, plus they welcomed Jamar, 21, into the family in 2018 after they became his foster parents.

Ree took to her website, The Pioneer Woman, after Alex's own announcement to gush over the news, announcing: "I am so happy for the Scotts!" before reflecting on her first months as a first-time grandmother last year.

"This time last year, I was still in the fizzy honeymoon phase of becoming a new grandmother, and in the year since, I have blissfully swum around in the beautiful, sparkling sea of Sofia Scott and have delighted in every single moment I've gotten to spend with her. She is an absolute wonder and I love her so very much," she shared.

"I know she won't understand all this means for some time, but man oh man...it will be so fun to watch," she went on, revealing that the baby's due date is September 21, none other than her and her husband's wedding anniversary.

Ree lastly teased fans that there would be a gender reveal shared soon as well, despite her suggesting to Alex and Mauricio that they wait and be surprised.

In Alex's own Instagram post announcing the news, she appears wearing a blue floral dress holding up Sofia, who is in a pink gingham dress embroidered with the words "big sister" on it, while Mauricio is holding up a sonogram strip. Their dog George, a Golden Retriever, is adorable
