Real Madrid ‘interested’ in Alejandro Garnacho and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Real Madrid are to track the progress of Alejandro Garnacho ahead of a potential future move, according to reports in Spain. The winger signed a new long-term deal in April that ties him down until 2028 and so any move in the near future is considered unlikely.

The 18-year-old is now a first-team regular having finished last season with five senior goals and assists apiece. The teenager earned his third Argentina cap in the latest international break having made his debut in June. His form has seen him earn a new shirt number at United too, swapping 49 for 17.

Fichajes says Real Madrid have been impressed with the youngster’s rapid rise over the last year having only made his full first-team debut last October. The Spanish club’s recruitment lead, Juni Calafat, has apparently personally taken on the task of keeping tabs on Garnacho in the next few years.

Meanwhile, CNN Turkey says United offered Donny van de Beek to Fenerbahce but the Turkish club decided to look for alternative options despite initial interest. The Super Lig window closed on Friday evening, meaning the midfielder will have to wait until January should he wish to exit.

The out-of-favour Dutchman is yet to play a competitive game since suffering a knee injury back in January, albeit scored in one of his several pre-season outings. Van de Beek has been left out of United’s Champions League squad but made the cut in their Premier League selections.

MEN Sport understands both Fenerbahce - who bought Fred from United this summer - and Galatasaray held interests. However it seems neither came forward with formal or suitable offers.
