Rashford, Mount, Varane - Manchester United injury news latest and return dates ahead of Burnley

Manchester United have several fitness concerns heading into their Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday.

United were forced to twice come from behind at home to Sheffield United on Wednesday as Erik ten Hg’s side battled to a 4-2 victory over the relegation-threatened club. The three points saw United move above Newcastle into sixth place as the club close in on Europa: League qualification.

The weekend will see United host another side in the relegation zone, Burnley. However, Ten Hag is expected to be without several players as United prepare for the visit of Vincent Kompany’s side. Here’s a look at the latest injury news and updates from around Old Trafford:

Mason Mount returned from a calf injury last month but was absent for the team’s FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry City, last weekend. The England midfielder continued to be missing from the squad against Sheffield United, with Erik ten Hag giving an update on Mount’s fitness.

Speaking to Match of the Day on Wednesday, the United boss said: "Mason Mount, he will return, I think."

Sofyan Amrabat gave United a fitness boost against the Blades. The midfielder missed the cup tie with Coventry but was back in the squad against Sheffield United, coming off the bench in added time.
